Clarification regarding maintenance of Specimen signature book at Post Offices in CBS environment

Sub: Regarding maintenance of Specimen signature book at Post Offices in CBS environment.

References are being received from various field units and union representative regarding maintenance of Specimen Signature Book at Post Offices in CBS environment.

In this regard, I would like to intimate that procedure for Maintenance of Specimen signature and Photograph in CBS Post Offices already been prescribed in SB Order 912018 in POSB(CBS) Manual rule 14(1) (3).

By SB Order 6/2015, separate AOF Form and KYC were introduced AOF with KYC documents are to be retained in CBS Post Offices and single page KYC form is to be sent to respective CPC. As such no separate Specimen Signature Book to be maintained in CBS Post Offices.

This issues with approval of the competent authority.
